Karen Eckmeier

Kent, Connecticut
Karen started making art quilts in 1996; they were very well received in national and international shows. The awards encouraged her to move forward, and her hobby officially became her business in 2002 when she opened "The Quilted Lizard." For 8 years Karen taught at a local quilt store and in 2002 began teaching her techniques "Layered Curves" and "Accidental LandscapesTM" nationwide. Teaching workshops gives her the opportunity to share my passion for playing with fabric with others, which she loves!!

Pat Ferguson

Ashford, CT
After teaching thousands of new and seasoned quilters over the years, Pat has tried not to lose sight of what it is like to be a bewildered but excited beginner. She still feels refreshed and rejuvenated every time she introduces a new student to quilting and sees their enthusiasm and creativity explode. She finds working with seasoned quilters just as rewarding as she watches their skills develop, feels their pride in their own creative process, and watches their personal style develop. Pat continues to take classes to learn from the best and to enhance her teaching skills. In 2010 she became a Certified Zentangle® Teacher.
